Pdm User Guide

Welcome to the user guide of Pdm. This guide is designed to help you understand and effectively use Pdm. In this example we will make a prefabric house project from scratch.

Creating Companies

Firstly you must create the companies you wish to sell or buy items from. For example.

Creating Items

Creating items is a very important process. First we will create all the items we'll be using in this project.

• Code: The code can be given by the program or can be entered manually. Important thing is item's code and name must be unique.
• Item Categories: Item Categories is an optional feature but can be very handy if used correctly. You can categorise items and give them unique code sequences.
• Integration Code: Integration Code can be left empty. It can be used in the future , dont have a functionality just yet.
• Sellable : Items can be marked as sellable. Sellables are simply items you sell like prefabric house. Sellable items helps filtering the tables.
• Fixed Prices : If you want to sell or buy an item from a fixed price you can enter fixed prices and get it in dispatches.
• Sub Unit : Sub unit is basically main unit times sub unit ratio. If you want to see the quantities in a different unit you can use it or leave it empty.
• Item Type: If an items type is service, for example Prefabric installation, in purchase dispatch you can connect it to a project.

Creating Boms

Boms are basically the blueprints of the item you want to produce.

• Code: The code can be given by the program or can be entered manually. Important thing is boms code and name must be unique.
• Name: When giving name some examples would be, prefabric house for xxx company or prefabric house with 2 rooms etc.
• Main Item: Main Item is the produced item using the items in the bomlines.
• New Bom Line Button: You can create bomlines by clicking the New Bom Line button on the top right.
• Refresh Button : After creating new items,companies etc. in other tabs. In order to see them you must click the refresh button.
• Sub Item Bom : In Bomlines after selecting item, you can select a sub item bom. It means this item will also be produced by the items in the sub item bom's lines.
• Cost Tab Page: You can see the estimated cost of the bom after saving it. You can change the date and see the cost at the desired date.
• Cost History Tab Page: After creating purchase dispatch, production slip or material management slip a boms cost may change. You can view the changes in the cost history tab.

We create the boms of the items we produce and not buy from outside. For example the creation of the paint receipt.

After creating all the boms we combine it all in a prefabric house bom.

Creating Purchase Dispatches

In order to see the cost of the boms we must create either a count slip or purchase dispatches.We do this for every item except the ones we produce.

Creating Projects

We create the prefabric house project.

• Name: Some project name examples would be, prefabric house for xxx company or prefabric house with 2 rooms etc.
• Item: Item is the item you want to sale/produce for this project.
• Bom: Bom determines how this item will be produced.
• Refresh Button : After creating new items,companies etc. in other tabs. In order to see them you must click the refresh button.
• Produce Button: Produce Button lets you create a production slip with the projects information.
• Sale Button: Sale Button lets you create a sale dispatch with the projects information.
• Project Info Tab Page: General info about the project is here.
• Estimated Cost Tab Page: Estimated cost is projects cost based on the bom of the project.
• Actual Cost Tab Page: Actual cost is calculated from the production slips and sale dispatches you created for this project.
• Items Tab Page: Items tab shows the items you need to produce the project and the items you own. Red mark means you dont have enough items to produce this project.
• Recalculate Actual Cost Button:Rarely the actual cost of the project might not update right after opening a dispatch. You can do it manually by pressing this button.

Creating Production Slips

You can produce a project by clicking the produce button on the project page or creating a production slip and selecting the project.

• Items Tab Page: Items page shows the items used to create the main item.
• Details Tab Page: Details page shows the items and sub items combined.

After creating the production slip, you can see the movelines of the production slip in the actual cost tab of the project.

Creating Sale Dispatches

You can sale a project by clicking the sale button on the project page or creating a sale dispatch and selecting the project. After creating the sale dispatch, you can see the movelines of the sale dispatch in the actual cost tab of the project. And you can see the cost,sold and total profit from the project.
